Swimming Beach at Morganton Point on Lake Blue Ridge
Morganton Point Beach is a lovely location to enjoy  Lake Blue Ridge and the surrounding North Georgia Mountains. Morganton Point has a great beach for swimming.
Directions: From McDonald's restaurant at the intersection of GA Hwy. 515 and GA Hwy. 5 in Blue Ridge. Follow GA Hwy. 515 east (toward Blairsville) approx 4.5 miles to traffic light and junction with GA Hwy. 60. Turn right on GA Hwy. 60. Continue on Hwy. 60 for 1.5 miles into Morganton. Turn right and follow sign about ½ mile to campground entrance on left. Fee station is on right at entrance of campground next to campground host site.

 LAKE BLUE RIDGE EASY HIKING TRAILS

Green Mountain Trail located along the shores of Lake Blue Ridge is an easy 3.3 mile hike overlooking Lake Blue Ridge and even at times follows arts of the Lake Blue Ridge shoreline. This year round hiking trail  showcases the pcituresque Blue Ridge Mountains in every season. A United States Forest Service maintained parking area off Aska Road is the trailhead.


Lake Blue Ridge Trail is a good gentle trail to enjoy the view of  Lake Blue Ridge. This easy 0.6 mile trail is ideal for families and young children. This trail is a mostly level  loop that begins by following the shoreline of Lake Blue Ridge. This trail begins in Fannin County just off Dry BranchRoad in the Blue Ridge Recreation Area.
Eyes on Wildlife Trail is 1.3 miles of easy trail and located near Coopers Creek. This trail features pristine  mountain streams, heavy forests, mountain ridges, wildlife and North Georgia Mountains vegetation. The trail head is located .5 mile south of Coopers Creek Campground in Blue Ridge Georgia.

FISHING ON LAKE BLUE RIDGE
One of the best qualities of Lake Blue Ridge is the good fishing available. Smallmouth bass and walleyes are the most caught fish, however, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, bluegills and the muskie are also found here.
